Wow what a cool song! I like that there is an English and a Maori version of the song. Something you might want to do is find the Maori and English translations of Hareruia/Hallelujah and add it to this blog post. I think it would be interesting to see read the different versions of the waiata and read about the messages in the song.
Have you heard of the waiata 'Aotearoa'? It's quite a modern one. I like this waiata because is all about New Zealand, my home. I also like it because there are lots of New Zealand singers who have joined together to sing this song. I think it's a really catchy song with a good beat. My favourite part of the song is when the woman starts singing the New Zealand National Anthem.
I'd love to know a little bit more about why Hareruia is your favourite waiata. Can't wait to hear from you!
