I rank Tamatea Arikinui first because they did more of a variety of things.
I rank Te Iti Kahurangi second because they had amazing singing voices.
I rank Te Puku O Te Ika third because although they were great they didn't show as much variety as the others.

The waiata I like the most is Hareruia.
I like Hareruia the most because it is a song I know in another language (Hallelujah).

Poetic Mihi
Ko wai e tū ake nei?
Who is it who stands before you?
Ka rere taku Kotoku ki te maunga tapu o Aoraki
My bird flies to the sacred mountain of Mount Cook
Haere whakaroro taku Kotoku ki te awa o Mawhera Nui
My Kotoku then continues down to the river of Greymouth
Ki runga it tērā awa e rewa ana te waka o Endeavor
On that river is floating the waka of Endeavor
Ka waiata atu taku Kotoku ki te ingoa whanau o Harris
My Kotoku sings to the family of Harris
Ko Aleece e tū ake nei
Ko Ngati Pakeha toku iwi
Ko Lexine toku whaea
Ko Phil toku matua
Ko Caitlin toku tuakana
Tena koutou tena koutou tena tatou katoa
Instead of using the template provided I decided to include my poetic mihi that I learnt at school.

I'm unsure of how I'd feel about living in a big family because:
I'd like to because it would be lots of fun and you'd have heaps of people to hang out with.
I wouldn't like to because it would be loud and hard to find some peace and quiet.

Similarities
*My house also has parts made from timber.
*Both buildings were designed for the same purposes.
Differences
*The wharepuni was made of more natural materials where as my house is mainly made from man made materials.
*We store our food in the same building as we live in where as they stored it in separate buildings altogether.

Dear Greanne
I have just reached shore after the treacherous six month journey in the leaky overcrowded waka. I must say it was definitely worth it this country is beautiful. However at first I was rather nervous as I had no idea what it would be like.
The journey was extremely dangerous and sadly not all of my tribe survived. The trip took far longer than expected so we were low on supplies. Also we were visited many times by unwanted guests. Taniwha. They stole what we needed most; fresh water, food, blankets and much more.
I am extremely grateful that I managed to survive the journey though it wasn’t without difficulty. I was injured in the first Taniwha attack which dampened my hopes of survival. However I survived and I am looking forward to seeing you.

*Maui was the youngest brother in his family.
*One of Maui’s ancestors was Murirangawhenua.
*Maui and his brothers frequently fought.
Another story about Maui that I have read is the tale of how Maui snared the sun.
