D.L.O Investigating In Maths
Digital Learning Object
Our maths task was to complete a task called ‘Check It Out’ from our Dragon Maths book. We then were required to put the information displayed in the chart in the task and create a chart of our own (as shown below). I created a bar chart/graph displaying the information in the tally chart in our dragon maths book. I think there would be more children around the ages of 6 - 8 because, that is the age where children are usually more keen to go on holiday.

Investigation Trying Transects
We had to choose either to investigate using the methods known as transects or quadrats. Greanne and I chose to use transects we collected the data about what was plants were in the area we searched. We then presented it on a graph. I think there are more of the creeping buttercups, grass & clover because the weather has been very cold and rainy lately because it’s winter. Also it could be because the area we took our samples from wasn’t surrounded by trees so it decreases the chances of there being leaves. Also we investigated an area near a stream so that could affect the type of plants growing there. I wonder what types of plants would also grow well

there?
